Off-Road Day

Yesterday I went on an off-road riding day. It was absolutely awesome although it is without doubt the most knackering thing I have ever done. I thought I did quite well for my first day and even managed to overtake a couple of guys that were bragging at the beginning about having done this many times before :D.

I have to say that falling off doesnt hurt at first but today I'm finding it hard to walk up stairs as my legs are killing me:(

On the whole a great day and I would love to do it again, just without the pain the day after.

I was sore for about 2 - 3 days, the first day after is the worst though, you will get better.

How many bikes did you break ? I broke one and fell of 3 times. Once over the handle bars straight onto my head :D

My dad completely lost it and went right round the top of one of the big berms and the disappeared through the tape. :D

I only fell off twice, bike landed on top of me once! My bro fell off about six times (the second corner was his first!!!), no bikes broken though. It was so knackering and we both thought we were quite fit:(

What bikes did you use, did you stick with the 250's?

I still haven't done one. I've ridden a 125 off road stroker on a gravel pit and taken other (non-offroad) bikes across fields/down dirt tracks. I'm concerned that if I do it, I'll love it and will wind up having to buy dirt bike. :)

Tried the 100 and 250'sw. The 100 was fun but very gutless, the 250's were great but didnt try the 450. One guy who was quite good did try it and came off big time, decided that I'll wait a bit before I try the 450. They're so tall could only just touch the ground on the 250!

I thought I may get an off-roader as a toy but it's so much hard work and my legs are killing me now I doubt it will happen. If you love pain you'll love off-roading!
