Profi CAT laser chain alignment tool

Anyone have or tried one of these babies that generates a laser line down the chain ?

I have one, mainly because I'm more likely to tie myself in knots with string than get my chain alignment right.

It's nice and easy to use, hold it against the rear sprocket and rotate the whole lot and the laser dot moves up the chain showing you if it's straight.

It all depends if you want to spend the money on it. If you're on a tight budget then learn the string method as it's cheaper. If you're not on a budget, then still learn the string method, then buy one of these safe in the knowledge you could do it the other way, if you had to ;)

I like it. Get my chain straight with minimal fuss.

£30 difference between the two and the only difference is you don't have to swivel the expensive one :shock:. I have the cheaper of the two. It'll do for me. :thumbsup:
