evotech tail tidy woes

I ordered an evotech tailtidy for my K4 SV650S and am very disappointed by it and am wondering if anyone else has experienced the problems that I have.

I had to drill enlarge the holes on one of the bracket by a good bit where you mount the bracket to the subframe to get it to fit.

I had to fashion spacers myself out of wood as none were provided to make the original indicators fit the new bracket.

The rear fairing does not sit flush with the original undertray anymore. The plastic tabs that you must remove to take off the rear fairing stick out now. The new tail tidy seems to sit too far back and is not allowing the rear fairing to sit far enough forward to align perfectly or sit flush with the undertray without modifying it.

For something simple that cost £45 it should be made perfectly and not require the installer to source parts for himself and drill out holes. Plus the instructions were rubbish.

sent off an email to evotech to see if they have any suggestions before I leave feedback on ebay. Is it fair to leave bad feedback for a poorly designed and misdescribed product

I have an SV sport which i bought last month new, is that a K6? I was gonna go for an evotech but may go for a hamicad now if the Evos dont fit properly. Which one fits my bike best? Not bothered how much it costs i'd rather it looked right, allowed me to retain the toolkit and not let water in!!

I've ordered a Hamicad one, They look good enough and the back end of the bike looks awful as standard. Plus a tail tidy will allow it to fit in the shed properly!

Now i just need to find a great tank protector thingy

I have an R&C, had to enlarge the holes as well and it was a bit dearer but otherwise its grand, came with a cool led(which I can unplug for those night time rips):smt118
