Jet Washing
Hi all,
Probably a silly question, but am i ok to jet wash my SV? i dont plan on getting close with the jet but just enough to wash some of the salt etc off Thanks in advance |
Re: Jet Washing
Avoid all bearings, you'll blow the grease out. To be honest unless there is crud welded to the udeside that you can't shift any other way, there's no need for a jet wash unless you're cleaning the patio.

Re: Jet Washing
Be very careful using a jet wash. If you have a small scratch you can force water under the paint - given time a rust bubble will form!

Re: Jet Washing
Im not planning on using the jetwash to force muck off as such, just to wash some crap off it, Its easier for me as I dont really have anywhere I can wash the bike by hand, and I dont ride it everyday, so would like to clean her before she goes to bed for a couple of days :)

Re: Jet Washing
My bike developed a weird misfiring stuttering problem, turned out it was water in the wiring connector on the fuel pump, which is up under the tank. Garage reckoned bloke who had it before me must have jet washed and got water in there. I use a cloth.
