What tyres ?
Ok - I know this thread appears a million times but I was wondering what the current opinion is?
I use my SV to commute in and out of work about 3 miles each way, all year round so I am looking for a tyre that offers some decent grip when cold but enough grip to let me play at the weekends and evenings. At the moment I've got the original D220s on the SV and having been out for a 50 mile ride today got home to found them barely warm. On my old ER5 the Pirelli Sport Demons I fitted got warmer than that in 3 miles! The candidates seem to be the Metzeler Z6 (good cold performance) and the PR2 (very responsive but not as good when cold) Cheers Dave |
Re: What tyres ???

Re: What tyres ???
I always find the black slightly bendy rubbery sort of ones work really well for me.
But make sure you put compressed air in them!!!111one1 Boy was my face red. By the way, has anyone ever heard this clunking noise on the front of their bike ever? |
Re: What tyres ???
I got a Z6 on the rear, and just put a Z6 on the front, seem fine to me.
