Exhaust heat wrap or cloth?
 

I dropped my belly pan off to get painted today (poly 26 on my pointy) and there is a slight browning of the fiber glass on the inside due to heat of the exhaust pipe. what is the best way to deal with this?
I have found 2 products online (and nothing in halfords!! :confused:)

This is a wrap, I think I would put it on the pipe directly, not really sure how it works.

This is the cloth, this I guess would go on the belly pan itself.

either or both?

there is hardly any clearance between the pipe and the belly pan so I think it will end up touching without too much hastle.
Just dont want a hole in my shinney new pan!

I'd ask people with the POLY26 bellypan if they've experienced the same and what happened. I reckon it'll be ok. If it's browned off a bit I don't thinnk it'll get worse. Just a thought. Don't take my word on it!

If you are going to be riding round in this country I'd be tempted to go with the reflective stuff in the belly pan.
I have heard of exhaust wrap collecting moisture and causing pipes to rot.

thanks for the warning, Ive picked up some heat wrap because it was the only thing I could find localy. Its not sticky so I can take it off and clean/check the pipe.
