Its a ninja but its a 250??

Further to the ZX10R post it seems as if 2008 will be a big year for a new breed of kwak, its seems like they are resurecting the 250cc sports idea last dropped by aprila and making a parallel twin, also there will be a new ER250 too set for release in the UK
is this because of the proposed bike downsizing ideas? who knows
but if the price is right and the engine is good might make for a good track bike with a little modification.. or could fall flat with little sales
might be good for noobs though
the Article : http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/Ne...s/?R=EPI-94578
looking through google it seems that others have been released in the past too
here is one from 2000

The ninja name seems more prevelant in different markets, in the US in particular every other kwak was called a ninja.

Personally I love the idea, I still think the best bike ever made was the VFR400R. The British market seems a tad obsessed with cubes though, so I'm not sure it'll be a huge hit over here. Mind you, it'll make an attractive 33bhp option to a lot of folks I guess.

Dunno how much power they're going to get out of it? If they can squeeze 45 or so I might even be interested :D

LOL!

I thought you could do with slower hedges?

I'll get my coat!;)

A 4 stroke 250cc machine won't be all that much fun to ride I don't think. I can only see this appealing to newb's or younger riders. I like to feel the thrill of a bit of power in a bike. Not sure if this will sell well here but in Europe, especially Spain and Italy this should go down a storm.

I was hoping it was going to be a crazy screaming 2 stroke. A 250 4 stroke won't be up to much in comparison IMO. Although I do love 2 strokes so i suppose i'm biased.

Isn't that just the GPX250? they've been around forever. Its like they call the GPZ a ninja500R over there - they seem to love em. You can still buy them new over there

In the US it seems that if its a Kwak Sportsbike its a Ninja

If you scroll to the bottom you will see the 250.

Please dont divide the prices by 2 to convert to GBP value.

You WILL cry

The picture posted is not the bike in question, follow the link in the original post. Lyle posted the old bike because that's what the new thing is replacing.

I like it, I don't know who'll want one except for the restricted license young riders, but it should easily pass the 33bhp mark and won't need thoroughly strangling to duck under it, plus it's bound to be lighter than most bigger bikes.
