I bought a washing up bowl today and a great big ball of string. Attached the bowl to my bike with the string. When the bowl was fastened securely to the pillion seat I put the rest of the big ball of string in the bowl as it saved opening the seat to wedge it in next to the chain.

I rode off & stopped at the lights & there were disptach riders next to me, with my bowl I probably looked like one of them...or Alpinestarhero.

At a junction a car lets me pull out...off I go. Unfortunately at some point on the way I must have gone over a bump & the big ball fell out of the bowl and unwound itself.

The string must have caught under a car wheel as I heard a great gib twang and slight jolt (I thought a school child had thrown a conker at me!). Suddenly there's the sound of something skittering along the ground. I look in my rear views to see something excatly resembling my washing up bowl moving along the centre of the road.

:salut: This story could only have been improved if you'd ended up dragging the bowl behind you on the end of a thousand feet of string.
