MCN SV vs Street triple vs BMW F800s vs Aprilia Shiver
Anyone else read this? Poor SV - seriously outclassed by some of the stuff there, though to be fair it's been going for a lot longer with minimal updates, has less capacity than all of them and costs much less than all of them.
I get the feeling that unless they seriously update the SV in the next year or two it'll go the way of the GS500 - a relic that nobody wants anymore. I can't decide between the triple and the beemer. Shiver sounds like it has a serious FI problem... |

But the SV costs 4700 quid against bikes costing a fair amount more - what do you expect? If Suzuki spent a little more money on suspension etc then the price and all round performance would be up there with the rest, so the test would be fairier.

ER6 is its only rival (budget low power bike) All the others in that test had either a huge capacity and/ or power advantage. not to mention suspention, technology etc |
Re: MCN SV vs Street triple vs BMW F800s vs Aprilia Shiver
You could spend the price difference on suspension for the SV, and then it'd, eh, probably handle better than the shiver but still be underpowered. But it's a bit of a daft comparison if you ask me.
Alternatively, you could get a brand new SV and have enough change left over for a good condition used one as well  |

Which one won? Saw the superbike test with the Shiver up against the Triple & The Hornet and the Shiver was last.

just seems that its the bike im looking to take over from the SV. Will have to see what that bikini fairing is like though - had enough of naked bikes with i had the GS.
