Beach Race

Yup. Its that time of year again folks.

Anyone going to Weston-super-Mud this weekend for the Beach Race?
Gonna be a cracker- much better than last year 'cos its supposed to stay dry.

I'll be there with the wife and kids cheering on number 231. Aaron Wells -he's a member of our club. There are few others as well but I don't have their race numbers

Sorry. Meant to say I'm going on Sunday to watch the solos.

BTW, just as an interest thing, Aaron Wells is only 16 and competing in his first Beach Race. He's good. Runner up in the National Schoolboy Championships this year, he's moving up into the adult class next season.

I want to go down, but have a feeling I won't be getting the time to. So good luck to all involved!

As a side note I've always wanted to do the race, on something inappropriate like a C90 or an R1. Any ideas how I go about entering for next year?

Re: Beach Race

Yup. On top of that you have to pay for your fuel, two sets of tyres, spare chain and sprockets, a backpack sprayer to clean the rad fins out and more money for beer.
A friend of mine that races there every year reckons he doesn't get much change out of £600 for the weekend.

Expensive hobby? Too right. Especially when you need to completely strip and rebuild the bike afterwards.:smt086
