I'm an idiot and I deserve to have my bike stolen

I forgot my usual "put every available lock on the bike in the garage, chain it to 2 ladders and an old wrought iron gate, inside the garage" and instead just left the bike with the steering lock on, in the garage when I went on holiday. I was aware of this, as I ended up having to rush to the airport and didn't have time to do my usual going on holiday measures. What I also found (to my dismay this morning) was that I had left the (garden side) door to my garage not only unlocked, but wide open. All my tools were easily accessible, as were my spare textiles, both lids and my mates' one, all my gloves. The outside garage door was also easy to open from inside.

Stupid stupid boy!

Luckily, all was untouched.

You think thats bad. I left my bike in the garage with my tankbag on that has my spare keys on...Best thing was the keys were still in my bike too.

Woah, steady on boy! It wold have only taken 30 seconds to have put on one chain. I always at least have one chain and the disc lock on the bike, then when the engine is cool it gets chained from downpipe to wheel, then a chain roun d the wheel and to a ground anchor and covered. I hate doing it, but I would hate it even more if i found my bike gone :(

Plowsie, be careful. You might find a yellow curvy in its place, and ransom pictures of your bike fitted with a topbox ;)

WOOOPS.

Although i did similar once, went out on the bike for a meal with the girlfriend, I was in that much of a hurry to feed myself that I left the keys in the bike for a whole hour, I sit where i can see my bike always but still dodgy as hell.
