Hang on. I thought it was ice cream not fruit. Speaking of which, I didn't exactly rate theirs the last few times I've visited. Luvians along from Cupars was much nicer. How about Nardinis at Largs? I'm sure they still have a shop, failing that, there's the "Green Shutters" down on the front. Plenty of bike parking and the chance of a hot coffee or whatever if it's a bit crap weather wise.

There's no Nardinis shop in Largs any more but you can still get Nardinis ice cream in one of the cafes near the ferry. We'll be the only customers...

I'd prefer to stick with St.Andrews personally as the east coast is always much drier in winter than the west.
