Re: Front end problem after crash & repair

Re: Front end problem after crash & repair

OK, had a chance to do as Sid mentioned above.

The forks visually look perfectly straight.

I have removed the top yoke and loosened every screw, bottom yoke, wheel spindle, even the front...

Re: Front end problem after crash & repair

Thanks guys for the comments.

I am going to have to look into retightening the yokes and if that doesn't work replace the bottom yoke.

What about the main yoke bolt and bearings, if the...

Re: Front end problem after crash & repair

The yokes seem to be ok, the right fork went in both bottom and top yokes perfectly easy. The left one needed a fair push in order to put it throught the top yoke, it was off by 2-3mm.

Re: Front end problem after crash & repair

Yes, there's only the front spindle and the speedo bit.

The forks are used from eBay off a non crashed bike I was told and it did (visually) look all straight.

I will try to slacken the yokes...

Re: Front end problem after crash & repair

Bibio,

I was doing around 10-15mph uphill and dropped it and an oncoming car hit/drove over the front of the bike (have not seen it - just going off what I was told.

You probably can call it a...

Re: Front end problem after crash & repair

Is it even possible to get it wrong? All you have is the spindle and the speed sensor, no?
