Re: Vintage film cameras

I took your advice Kenzie and bought a roll of HP5 today. They had some Ilford pan 400 too, which I've never used before. Was thinking about it but a quick search seemed to imply it was quite grainy...

Re: Vintage film cameras

Well, red Oktober is out for me. Shame really as it might have encouraged me to get the Zorki out if I was in the UK.
I still haven't shot any film. Weather is grey as usual so no shadows and the...

Re: Vintage film cameras

I finally got my internet sorted. Can't access the forum on my mobile this time round and the BBC is blocked this year too so I'll have to rely on the laptop and the VPN.
I've been working all...

Re: Vintage film cameras

Yep, it took me 2 years to get to the end of a 24 exposure roll. The slow pace of film.
Packing :(

Re: Vintage film cameras

Yep, the charity shop XA3. It works fine; it's just me. I'll try a faster film next time.
I think I'm down to only 2 cameras with unfinished films in now

Re: Vintage film cameras

After yesterday, I'm down to my last roll of Agfa. It expires December 2018 so I timed it quite well.
Will buy film out there. I think I got a roll of Fuji 200 for a couple of quid last year....

Re: Vintage film cameras

I've an OM1, OM2, OM2sp, OM10 & OM20, Still need a few more for the flush. I also discovered I'd more lenses than I thought, probably because I picked up a few bundles and never really noticed what...

Re: Vintage film cameras

That's not bad, buying a duff OM2 and getting it working. Will you keep it or sell for a nice profit? You are building up quite an Olympus collection now. One good thing is that the Zuiko lenses are...

Re: Vintage film cameras

I haven't seen one of those either. Maybe they are rarer than other OMs. Wasn't that one a first attempt at autofocus with certain lenses? Good find though. I wonder how accurate the focus assist is?

Re: Vintage film cameras

OM1 is definitely nicer in black.
Looks like you'll need more display cabinets soon

Re: Vintage film cameras

Yes, the Electro was weird. Last one is a light leak; 2 consecutive ones like that in the middle of the roll and that was it. The other underexposed one, I'm not sure about. They would happen...

Re: Vintage film cameras

Some of the later TZs...maybe 60/70 and upwards have EVFs.
OM1n is a nice, simple mechanical camera. I just got my test pics from it back and they are all fine - as much to do with the lenses as the...

Re: Vintage film cameras

I put 4 films on for processing at the weekend. Still another 3 unfinished in different machines.
Starting to think seriously about what to take away with me this year. It'll have to have some kind...

Re: Vintage film cameras

Nice to have your own little darkroom space. The results are good too, first one is really clear.
Did the Stanley knife play any part in this?

Re: Vintage film cameras

Yeah. I needed a 1 page pdf printing out and the guy, after printing it, wanted to charge me 2.10 for 1 A4 copy. We had a little discussion, the outcome of which was that I would never use his shop...

What's the lens on it?
I've got 4 films ready to put in for developing. Got another couple of half rolls to try and finish and then will put them all in together.
Fortunately, 2 places in the town...

Crikey. That's a serious piece of kit. Not one to be carried openly by dark skinned gentlemen with straggly beards.

Re: Vintage film cameras

I picked up the cheapo Zuiko 70-150. Stupidly had a look around and also came away with a Vivitar 35-70 f2.8 with shade for a tenner. Tiny thing; fits in the palm of my hand.
