I think I made him feel bad ;) I don't think he needed much defending on this though, sure it was a wee bit silly but every time I saw him the overtakes were clean and safe. If he'd done it halfway...

Ah, but there's nothing stopping you from just pulling up anyway, keep a marker company... So you actually get more control, since you'll never HAVE to stop but you can choose to.
