Re: Vintage film cameras

Apologies for the slow reply, I missed your post.

These days I'm pretty much all digital. If I shoot any more film it will be 6x6. I've got a bag full of Bronica SQA gear and it produces awesome...

So, yeah. You definitely...

Any thoughts?...

Re: Vintage film cameras

Not true - all the lurkers come to point and laugh. :-)

Actually I do own 35mm, 6x6 and 6x17 film cameras but they don't see much use. Digital is just too convenient.

Re: Vintage film cameras

Commercial quantities of fixer are generally collected for silver reclamation. For small amounts you can add zinc or iron shavings to precipitate the silver, leave it for a day or two, then filter...

Re: Vintage film cameras

If they're like my holders you can develop a single 120 film in them too. Just rotate the two halves to unlock and change the spacing to match your film. Before you start loading film into them in a...

Re: Vintage film cameras

No need for a course to develop black and white, just follow the recipe. It really is easy.

Re: Vintage film cameras

The first few steps of colour processing are temperature sensitive, unlike black & white which isn't too picky.

Ideally you should use a water bath to heat the chemicals up to the right...

Re: Vintage film cameras

If you're looking for an old fashioned film SLR, I'd suggest the Nikon FE2. I still have mine and it's just nice to use. If you're willing to wait there have been some real bargains on Ebay. Manual...
