Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I think it's the age old 'if it's fitted it needs to be safe' . You don't need seatbelts in some classic cars but if you fit them and they are slightly frayed or not e-marked - FAIL

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Every now and then Redex goes on offer and I usually stock up then. Last time I saw it in a supermarket 2 bottles for £2. I must admit I only use it when a vehicle's been laid dormant or sometimes as...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
That would be EXCELLENT for your tours. I really liked it when riding with my advanced instructor, it's great to be insulted mid corner and generally having an extra pair of eyes letting you know...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
What discs are you buying? After I first did my GSXR conversion I had that problem, two things happened at once - the tokico four pots were seizing in no time and the Armstrong discs I was buying...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
To be honest I would have done the oil change AFTER the trackday. You've got it extremely hot then cold , then extremely hot etc. etc
No problem, you'll just have to book another one now...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Is it tiny to sit on? I was offered one at a good price about 10 years ago and I was wondered... I left it at the SV's too small to me so the kwak will be worse

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Needed some tressles which are overpriced for something you can make yourself so went to buy one of these to use instead - Aldi had somewhat predictably sold out but I was pleased to find Wickes did...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Might just do that.
Cheers for the headsup Tam, good price and might have a go for that if I'm passing but I have a feeling they'll be £15's worth of wobble.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Love it when you get your favourite boots on a bike. Enjoy!
It might well do marginally, even just from the weight difference. You can make that weight up over easter now :chef:

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Where'd you get the new tops? I've done the slapstick classic and cut through the table I was working on and could do with some replacements - but the quick google showed it to be more than a new...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I made one out of a plastic milk jug that worked a treat, but it was very accessible
Yeah I was told to
Always do the bushings if you’re bothering to do the seals as they’re generally cheap

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Can’t say I’ve ever heard of them but it’s unlike wemoto to sell crap
Did you try the seal reseater trick? I was always dubious but did it recently and it fixed the weep. Has been good for a couple...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Goood job.Fronts are a bit of a PIA (unless they've changed the design?)... or likely, you're much brighter than me
I found the fixings could only be tightened under load and there was no...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Bloody everything as per usual. I had a pipe burst in the night (thankfully outside, but the water still would have been an issue). My (potentially very nosey?! ) neighbour noticed and turned off my...
