Re: Oil Loss, too much?
My SV used to loose oil when touring, but was ok for the rest of the time! I always had to top it up each day by a small amount. Once I was away for a week and it took about a litre.

Re: Cutting out as pulling up to junctions
Have you checked the plugs yet?
My 99 Curvy had the same issue for quite some time and it's a bit annoying as it's intermittent. I gave it a good service in the spring and the one of the plugs was...

Re: I like two strokes!
Had a GT250 back in the day. What a blast. A decent power band to boot. Unfortunately I don't have any photo's, just the memories.

Re: Showerthoughts
My Suzuki GT250 had a kick start on the left. Didn't bother me as I'm left footed.

Re: Poor start
My 99 Curvy is a bit of a pain from cold too. Sometimes it would take a good few goes to fire up with full choke. A few times I have tried just half choke or even no choke and it seemed to fire up...

Re: sv650 tick over
Some years ago I had an intermittent tick over problem with my Curvy. The main problem was the choke cable was sticking after the split for one of the cylinders so a new one sorted that. Also one of...

Re: SV650X is released for 2018
I'm a musician too and wear ear plugs whilst playing in my band and riding bikes. As a result I can't really hear or appreciate the sound of my bike. I suppose others can but I have no desire to...

Re: SL0 Fork Seal Replacement - Me v Garage
Doing the forks can be difficult if it's your first time. Maybe a compromise is to take them off and give them to a mechanic to do (as i have done) and do the head bearings yourself.

Re: Aldi biking gear from Thursday 30th
Bought 3 pairs of the socks, for me and our 2 lads. Only one base layer left that was too big. Got some chain cleaner and wax too. Not interested in the rest

Might be worth checking the earth. I had a similar problem and there are a few threads here about indicator problems. There are a few things to go wrong so check everything before spending anymore...

Re: Crash bung recommendations.
I have R&G's on my naked curvy. A slow speed spill resulted in minor damage. The bung did bent back a bit so a new bolt was required. The gear pedal was bent back so I have replaced it with one with...

Re: Oil problem
Had the same problem a few years ago on short commutes in the winter. Clean it up an go for a long ride. Keep and eye on it though, shouldn't be a big deal. Go for an oil change if it's due soon.
