Better to be in too low a gear than too high a gear in a situation like that ! Just as a matter of interest, there is a sharp left hand bend going up the very steep Rosedale Bank in North Yorkshire...

yes, I will photocopy it certainly.
they say it is illegal to have 2 licences at the same time and when the application has been acknowledged,which it has, that counts as one licence.

update on the shock absorber - just been informed suzuki shock is not arriving in germany until june - suzuki customer care might consider some goodwill gesture for inconvenience caused by delay but...

Applied online to renew my driving licence 70 plus. Bit concerned they say you have to cut your driving licence in two and send it back to DVLA before you get the new one. Also it says in the notes...

i am losing faith with Suzuki. Replacement shock absorber was supposed to arrive at Suzuki GB on 10th April but still no sign of it. Been off the road over 4 weeks now since Suzuki dealer diagnosed...

Oh, the seat ,you have noticed already ! Crap isn't it. They use the minimum of foam to keep the seat height low but at the expense of comfort. i had a local seat upholsterer Smartrrs take some foam...

I can see the possibility of paraffin ' wicking' behind the O rings but wouldn't that apply to any degreasing liquid ?

Paraffin isn't water soluble is it ?!
I use paraffin to clean the chain but the owners handbook says don't use kerosene. What is kerosene - I thought it was what the Americans called paraffin? !

Another bit of a gripe. If my rear shock absorber replacement is fixed under warranty almost as soon as the part is expected to arrive at the dealer next week , my bike will have been off the road...

See my post today on hugger. That was my argument, that if an item fails /cracks due to a design fault ( not enough clearance between hugger and part of original bike in my hugger case) it is not fit...

I ordered a laptop battery on ebay , it didn't last long either. I gave up on battery and just use laptop plugged in to mains.

Ah well, if it has had 2 previous owners who knows what they might have done !
ps having said that, at that mileage it will still be under warranty won't it ,how old is the bike ?
