Re: Electrical output

I suppose the question ought to be: Where are you located 60-80? If you put it in your profile it might save us going off on a tangent (it doesn't take much for us to veer off into the weeds).

Re: Rtfm

I just checked the manual - it uses the ABS ring/sensor for the speedometer.

Maybe this explains why I was getting such incredible fuel consumption figures? Based on the radar speed warning signs...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Which foods are good/bad for me? I think I've lost track:

1) Coffee - it's switched so many times in the last 20 years but I think the magic 8 ball now says OK.
2) Eggs - "go to work on an egg"...

Re: Upgrading 2002 to 2017, seat height and lowering

If you have a stock shock, they are not adjustable for length on a curvy, if you have threads visible on the shock mounting points it's not a stock shock and is adjustable for length.

The...

Re: Bloop - what do you think about this problem?

I'm sure Higgs would make you a chamber (for a price) and you'd get more power if jetted for it.

A power valve? Like Yamaha's YPVS? If you thought your exhaust was expensive a YPVS system would...

Re: Bloop - what do you think about this problem?

One of the big problems with cleaning a two stroke exhaust is the fragility of the carrier that holds the baffle. If they become dislodged then the exhaust is scrap since the only way to repair is...

Re: Bloop - what do you think about this problem?

1) buy spare carb
2) think about fixing old carb
3) talk yourself out of it
4) "I'm bored - might as well have a go"
5) oh bugger!

What is strange is that Honda had a better bike to use...
