On a side note, you cannot assume that the C&S was previously replaced because of wear, on the tarty Street Triple forum people change out C&S's...

Suzuki SV manual (650) has the STV setup chapter 5-28.

Basically. The STV's must be level with top of TB on both sides of butterfly. IE dead flat /closed

ah... oh... you moved them.... oh dear.

Its been a while since I played with an SV, but iirc they do a self check at bootup, do they both reach fully open?
Also did the screw have a torque mark...

You balance them at a high tickover, I think I did mine at 3k, at idle they should still be in balance.

Are the gauges faulty?

3yrs 35,000 miles on my shunt wound 3 cylinder 675cc superstar.

Its had a hard life, year-round use, heated kit, track days.... the lot.

Whilst the R/R hasn't broken (yet) a lot of other stuff...

I recon it was a highside, even tho Stenno doesn't know where he came off, witnesses say it was a left hand hairpin, and hes flipped the bike onto its right hand side...

It didn't on Friday, plenty of car track days and no rain for a long time made the conditions trecherous.

Plenty of bikes fell, some even on the sighting lap!
