Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

My gripe of yesterday. Having a large stone fling off a car in front of me. Hitting me in the shoulder. Even with my jacket, jumper and t-shirt it still bloody hurt. We were doing 65 mph. I have a...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

As the store manager of a bike shop, you could always tell who were messers and who weren't. The ones that weren't we rushed through the process as politely as possible. The messers I simply told to...

Re: Little bump in my van

As above, let her get it checked out and then pass all the details and photos to your insurance. Do not give her any money. Good luck.

Re: The running thread.

I've given up on the Physio, it was basically 50.00 a visit for him to recommend a couple of stretches.
Where the injury is it's not something he can manipulate like a shoulder or foot or whatever....

Re: The running thread.

Good effort Gary. I managed to get out last night for a short one. 3.4 miles. My legs were protesting from only going the day before. This morning both ankles are a bit stiff. Still it was good if a...

Re: The running thread.

Half forced myself out this morning. Still struggling to get back out there. However I'm glad I did. It's a cracking day out there. Highlight was coming around a corner whilst running through a wood...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

My gripe.
Having to waste my days at work when there are many, many, many other things. Some even enjoyable, that I would rather be doing.

It's a never ending re-run of Ground Hog day.

Re: SV650sy - the past eight years.

Not knowing what a 1970s, 250cc CZ stinkwheel was I had to google it.

Looks better than a curvy.

Re: SV650sy - the past eight years.

Glad you are enjoying the bike Gary, and good to hear some people on here still own and more importantly ride their SV's!

Mine makes me smile too, especially now it has new tyres, chain and...

Re: Pointy 650 - real world fuel capacity?

I'm pushing mine at 140. Anything past 135 and I'm risking it. But yes I too reset the clock every time I fill up.

Re: Pointy 650 - real world fuel capacity?

Last time was in the middle of the heat wave we had this year. I too had to push for about a mile to the station, uphill in the blazing sun. I think I sweated more than 17 litres due to all my gear....

Re: Pointy 650 - real world fuel capacity?

Having pushed to a petrol station twice. It's not much fun.

Re: Pointy 650 - real world fuel capacity?

I once got in just over 17 litres. I think I was moments from pushing though.

Re: The running thread.

Got out this morning. For a nice Autumnal run. Both boys came out on their bikes. What with me being unfit and them constantly stopping it wasn't the fastest run ever. But I'm glad I went out. 5.2...

Re: Bung or No Bung?

I too have dropped my bike, if I'm honest 3 times now. Various reasons.
My R&G bungs have saved the lower fairings on my SK6 on all occasions. They didn't save the rear tail plastic though.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

My minor grip. Cut my finger today at work.
Still can't get it to stop bleeding. Really can't be arsed to go and sit for hours waiting in ER to get it stitched. Fingers crossed, or pressed tightly,...
