I'll add my own experience too!

I have two SVs (Show off) one for track and one on road.
Both have twin steel lines, both have had rebuilds in the last year by me, done in the exact same way....

Depends on budget of course, but linear fork springs and fork valves do wonders for the front end (£160)
Then scrub Supercorsas (£100) and for the extra mile: Tyre warmers (£100) to maximise track...

Hi nutz, as far as I know I finished one race in 10th, another two in 11th and one race I finished 12th.

Not where I wanted to be but not bad for a first attempt at going round snetterton....

Fun fact, the reason your fork oil goes all dirty and silvery, is that the spring continuously rubs itself during travel and its the metal dust that turns the oil silvery.

I'd hope the YSS ones come with instructions. they may have a different strength spring so the 2.5 turns may not match. Hopefully the instructions will guide you.

No the later ones wont fit! There is a compatibility chart somewhere on the forum.
The 06/07 was the easiest to fit on road going sv's.

In answer to your questions:
I used ktech 9.0 linear springs from Brook suspension online.
Send him an email including your weight and he will advise better....
