Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?

Went into Welshpool on the bike to do some banking and get a coffee.

SotD #1: Took a detour home down one of my favourite short roads, the B4390. Did it East to West this time as I was coming...

Re: The running thread.

Plenty of mud and a lot of water here too atm, makes running quite hard going in places.

Need to get a couple of longer runs in this week ready for a 10k event I have coming up on Sunday...

Finally made it out for a run this afternoon. Just ran my 3.5 mile loop over the allt and through the woods (https://www.strava.com/activities/2221068385).

Forgot to start the Garmin going for the...

Re: The running thread.

Well done!

I've not managed to get out to run since last Sunday so I'm hoping it'll be a bit less busy tomorrow morning so I can get out at least...

Re: The running thread.

Position doesn't matter I'd say. The most important thing is that you did it. Good on you I reckon.

Re: Oil filter change

90,000 mile curvy. Oil and filter is changed every 5000 miles. Bike still runs perfectly and uses very little oil.

I'll keep changing the filter at each oil change thanks.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Your mate is quite right Trev. The problems begin though when they look back to an imagined past that never was.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

People of my generation who are arrogant enough to think that their age gives them the right to impose their "wisdom" and opinions on everyone else in the belief that they alone are right.

While...

Fabulous story Bill, very heartening to read. Shame so much of the rest of the world is so obsessed with personal profit and gain. Imagine what the world would look like if what you just saw operated...

Re: The running thread.

I shall have to be careful if I run tomorrow.

On the Telford run yesterday I stepped awkwardly on a low tree stump and made the front of my ankle joint twinge badly. I carried on though and after...

Re: The running thread.

It's blooming hard to get out the door sometimes for all sorts of reasons, but always worth the effort in the end.

Re: The running thread.

It was the Telford T50/50 Relay today and my co-runner and I ran from Donnington Wood to Ketley Bank (https://www.strava.com/activities/2204995058). It's a very wiggly route and our run was even more...
