Re: Upgrading 2002 to 2017, seat height and lowering

4 inch lowering kits aren't necessarily shortening the dog bones by 4 inches. Just a few, often 20mm to 40mm shorter on the dog bones makes the back end lower by more than the decrease in dog bone...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

I've had sinusitis a few times and the thing that worked best for me was applying hot then cold face cloths to increase blood flow to and away from my sinuses. Not fun and such a painful and...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

But if it happened the other way and it was fraud and they let someone get away with an unusually large purchase on a card, everyone would be ****ed off with banks for allowing fraud. I'd rather be...

Re: Electric/Mechanical gremlins?

Is the Reg/rec something that will definitely fail? Is it worth changing out in advance at a certain mileage?

Re: Electric/Mechanical gremlins?

Just had to pull, clean out and fix the block connector for headlights / sidelights etc in the nose of the fairing on mine. There was a fair bit of corrosion in the headlight connections causing them...

Re: Part ex prices

Dealers will always be a few hundred under the private sale price. A lot less hassle just swapping it in with a dealer, but you pay a lot for that convenience.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?

I don't dare attach ours to me in any way at all! She'd be dragging me along at 30mph! We tend to go places that are very underused and quiet.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?

I regularly take our dog out for run / rides on the local byways or the dramway near us. She loves it and it's the only way for me to be able to go fast enough to get any energy out of her... she's a...

Re: Where to sell a K3 SV1000N

I think the problem isn't that it's not worth that price, it's just when you get to a certain price / value, the options and possibilities with other bikes opens up a lot. So you need someone who...

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?

I always used to keep revs low, but I find going a gear lower than I normally would recently has made the bike much better to handle, especially in corners as Chris mentioned.
