Wikipedia says "Uncovered wooden bridges have a lifespan of only 10 to 15 years because of the effects of rain and sun."
So it's doing alright for a 103 year old bridge. Foresight, that.

There might have been some odd legal or tax statuses for "covered buildings" that made sticking a roof on it beneficial.

We had a huge one sat on next door's pathway. The postman wouldn't go past it and was hanging around wondering what to do, and our dogs were going nuts. So the mrs had to go and chuck it in a hedge....

In keeping with the spirit of the forum, it's a 650cc Suzuki :grin:

It just does it all in one cylinder with a lot more chrome and less weight.

My mrs complained that I looked like a bee in my old Roof Boxer V as it was very big and round on my head.
