Instrument cluster/screen/fairing locations

Morning all,

Trying to get my plastics back on my curvy after mucking about behind the instrument panel and just wanted to know if the panel clips `over` or `under` the fairing lug as per this...

All sorted, the old motocross technique of weighting the foot lever and leaving it for 24 hours and it is solid as a rock :)

Cheers gents, I have opted for the "do nothing until tomorrow" approach and hope the air will rise out overnight!

Mine also has a distinctive whine/transmission whine in top gear so I will be interested to see what others say.

I also have brand new chain and sprocket so it isn`t them and to be honest it...

Didn't want to hijack the thread below.

I have an occasional issue with the start button on my curvy as in sometimes it is as dead as a dead thing for a random amount of presses then fires fine.

R6 throttle change and I also polished up the bar ends so they are nice and shiny rather than rusty black!

Also started tinkering with the front brakes but got a bit chilly so gave up...job for...

I just attached it with the longer screws and fitted the rear plastic over it, did not foul it at all as far as I remember.

Will check all the fixings tomorrow but Im sure I didnt leave any out!

Bought a straight replacement for my 2000 curvy, thought about a different bike one but came to the conclusion one of theirs would save a mass of potential aggro, it works...

I went down one on the front and I`m happy with it, there is a noticeable difference in acceleration, saying that the removed sprocket was worn smaller than the 14 tooth!!

I have been meaning to do it for ages and spurred by this I have just finished, piece of **** to do.

I like it all, from uncovering the bike and the smell of fuel, to getting into bike leathers, not sitting in traffic and especially with the SV you can go for a plod about with the excellent engine...

Curvy - Sprocket change

So as my 2000 curvy was making some weird noise from the front sprocket and coupled with the chain being knackered at the weekend it was sprocket change time.

I had a feeling it was pretty shot...
