Re: The running thread.

Got out this morning with O. It was a bit of effort for him on his bike. He's hoping Santa gets him a new bike for Christmas, one with more gears. I told him I'd put in a good word. 4.9 miles. We...

Re: The running thread.

Got out after work, 5.8 miles.
Dark cold and at one point sheet rain lashing sideways. I had to tell myself I was doing this because I wanted to. I am struggling with the dark, it does suck a...

Re: the rights of the citizen versus society

I think this is a great idea, I have to admit it made me laugh when I saw the clips.
It should be a great deterrent - although most of these muppets on the scooters are clueless ****wits so I doubt...

Re: The running thread.

I know that "new shoes can't wear them" feeling well.
My Asics were a lot nicer the second outing.
Hopefully they'll be even better for the next one too.

Re: The running thread.

Gary, I hope the cold is one of those that hits hard and quickly disappears. Way better than the ones that take weeks. Fingers crossed you feel better tomorrow.

Re: Oxford Hot Grips controller placement?

After it's been there a while you'll stop noticing it, or caring. I too thought about ****ing about with it when I fitted mine 6 years ago. It's still mounted to the clutch lever, as everywhere else...

Re: The running thread.

Just squeezed in a 4.5 mile dark, boring tour of Stansted road run.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?

Love my pr4s, and I find the front tyre way more of a git to fit than I do the rear. Still I've only done about 4 sets now. Their getting kinda easier each time, but it'd help if it wasn't 6 month's...

Re: Bike won't start

Mine was an iffy clutch switch, take it apart - clean and possibly scrape off the contacts with a screwdriver - other scraping devices are available.

Give it all a spray with contact cleaner -...

Re: The running thread.

Got out just now, it's good to run in the sunshine. 4.7 miles.
Shame I was on a time limit, as off out to Cambridge in a minute to get dragged around the Christmas chaos. Shame also that my fitness...

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?

Christmas tree shopping today, was dreading having to fork out 60.00 plus on a tree. We just happened to stop off at Homebase. They had/have 1.80 - 2.10 Normandy Trees for 12.00! The guy said they...

Re: The running thread.

Having 3 kids we do frequent SD, as they are cheap. But I hate the shop, the staff couldn't give a monkey's. And even though the stuff is branded most of its owned by SD and I fear not as good as...

Re: The running thread.

Yeah they are Asics, my last pair were too. So when I saw these reduced to the amount I paid previously I thought I'd give them ago. I have to admit I'd never even heard of Inov8 shoes. Having just...

Re: The running thread.

Yay 5.9 miles of farmland, woods and fading light. Perfect way to start the weekend. Sanity slightly restored.
Now where is that cider I bought the other day?
New shoes performed well, a little...

Re: The running thread.

I'm in need of getting out.
I'm not in a great place mentally today. I've almost had enough of practically everything. Thankfully tomorrow is two weeks. Fingers crossed the rain isn't coming in...

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?

FOG - you know it's thick when you wipe your visor and it literally makes no difference.
22 miles of pea soup commute this morning. It livens up the normal dull dreary commute.
