Re: What have you tinkered with today?

If the answer is yes, then sell it. For what could be a great price if everything is over priced at the...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Adam, I'm glad you fixed it.
Sounds about the same level of service my new to me Qashqai got last year from Glyn Hopkins when I picked it up. None of the things we had discussed had been done.
I...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Today I have spent way longer than I expected swapping out my rear tyre on the GSXR, so long I ran out of time to do the front. It should have been an easy job. Remove rear brake, check. Undo axle...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Not a lot, after finally ordering new tyres for the GSXR, and waiting a week for the rear to arrive. I set about to swap them over. I quickly realised that I'm a numpty.
It's the first time...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I too had mine on the clutch bolt. Much less intrusive.
Also much easier to operate with your clutch hand whilst riding instead of throttle hand.
If you have any sheet metal kicking around they are...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Wrapping bar tape was something I once enjoyed doing too. A good wrap really finishes of a newly serviced bike. Something the mechanics in the shop I used to work in always passed the buck on and got...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Gary, more putting off until I have no choice, than busy.
My rear brake hadn't seen any movement of the pedal for about 5 months! The front brake and engine brake count as a vehicle having two...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Yesterday's efforts - New rear tyre, new chain and sprockets and a rear brake that actually works. Might need to get some fresh fluid as it's a bit spongy.
Front tyre to do tonight, and a bit of...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
PR3s fitted. I really need to get a better technic at swapping tires. Currently I have none, but it did give a chance to vent today's issues. My swearing is on point.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
[QUOTE=DomP;3073364]Thanks SG, ours went through the MOT fine this time just a few minors so I'm quite pleased after the parking brake dramas. I think changing it is on the back burner for now but a...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
DomP - I have a Mk3 Scenic - had a Mk2 also. As have 3 small kids perfect family wagon.
Mk3 much nicer. Mines the 2.0 petrol one - had the 1.5 diesel slug.
More smiles, less miles.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I remembered the SV engine needs oil, and actually put some in it. Thankfully before it reminded me by dying!

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Got to work today to find my R&G tail tidy in two bits number plate hanging by the indicator wires!
Definitely wasn't like that when I got on the bike.
So that was my lunchtime - making a temp...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Love my Abba stand with the front lift.
