Re: Ethanol E15 in US

My, there is some rubbish being quoted re fuels.

Don't put Avgas in any modern car and certainly any bike you pay tax (ved) on - it'll not be pretty after many miles (and certainly not euro 3/4......

Re: New Bike

Have a look at Honda's AT (2016).
Awesome ride when I tried one. One non-stop grin, thoroughly loved it - even though I am way to short for it. Instantly put the fun factor back into a ride.

Re: bt021's price

They're not poor value if they are half the price and they do everything else you want. But by far, the best rubber is new rubber - whatever. The second best rubber is rubber that behaves like...

Re: Exhaust and the law

Legally - it'll be a design & construction issue. Plus, (strictly) it isn't permissible to modify an exhaust to be louder than the manufactures/vin specified level (on v5).
Don't know about the...

Re: Provisional Entitlement Question

It has been made a minefield by fiu-dvla.

First Q/ Has everything been copied over from his original entitlements to his new licence? (They used to love dropping stuff off).

Second Q/...

Re: bike FM

Your commute might be a boring as that. But I'd always shout out against any distraction - and music/talk-radio fits in there nicely.

Re: On the go bike tool kit

I've heard of being prepared but ...
Somehow I doubt you'll need a fraction of that - assuming you're not about to tour.

You may have one in either of your puncture kits (really?) - but I...

Re: Bought a bike off ebay, loads of issues, what to do?

No comeback (you've got that by now!)

But - fixable. Give it some extended TLC. Get the carbs off and see what is going on in there. Even if it hasn't been fiddle with, it will warrant a good...

Re: critique. Should I have anticipated better

Oh, and just to say, there is NO excuse for listening to that obnoxious **** on the radio - there are other stations available for the short time R2 transmissions are interrupted.

Re: critique. Should I have anticipated better

Honestly?
Was that a gap you were leaving for her or just being in the way. Would you do that on a bike?
Horn, but shorter. Absolutely no need for expletives - wasted anyway - and only winds you...

Re: Air compressor fitting identity help

Look up a proper air compressor/fittings company nearby (I used Airquick for me locally). They know what is what and will sell you stuff that is appropriate and fits because it's their day job. ...

Re: Petrol stations and helmets again.

All of the above.

Stand your ground (offer payment etc.)

If you feel obsoletely no option, occupy the paypoint until fully kitted out again - and don't bother using that station again.
And,...

All these three recommendations are the way to go.
- I particularly like the rot.

Don't wire in anything fancy - it *will* let you or another owner down.

Re: Complete electrical failure - Pointy.

Don't panic. It is all fixable given enough time/effort.
If you want rid of the alarm then that could be a good next step - I'll never buy a bike with an add-on alarm that interferers with the main...

Re: Video formats for head cams and the like

HD or even better. Definitely, if you can go for it.
Let's face it, after the novelty value, more than 99.9% of it you'll ditch (or save and never use). When you need a frame or three you'll want to...

Re: Road Rage - Do you?

Hoo yes. But it doesn't make it right. It does however make me feel a whole lot better and able to carry on more calmly.

The odd driver knows they've done wrong by me, but generally I (try) and...
