Finally got round to assembling the skylift.
Oil and filter change, fuel pump filter changed, brakes cleaned, chain cleaned and lubed and bike deep cleaned ready for MOT hoping to get it booked in...

Tested my new took kit today, full service on the scenic, including diesel filter and pollen filter. Looks like thermostat housing gasket is starting to fail and bloody automatic brake sensor broke...

No, car batteries are normally 12v also. If no joy jumping with 12v booster, and no difference still just getting the click then I would look at the starter next.
Assuming you've checked the fuse...

How old is the battery and what is voltage showing with bike off?
12.1v would be roughly 50% Health, the battery that came with my SV died at start of 3rd season riding it despite showing 12.4v...

No work on the bikes but managed to time it between the showers to fit a new exhaust on the daughter's car after the hanger bracket gave way last week. Saved £180 quid by ordering online and fitting...

Hopefully you managed to get to the bottom of the problem but when you rebuilt the rear did you make sure to grease the bolt(5) and sleeve(10)?
