Re: Gen 1 naked - spares or repair
Sorry should have added - MoT just expired this week so would need a trailer, sure it would pass apart from emissions due to the unburnt fuel.

Gen 1 naked - spares or repair
Before I stick it on eBay for spares or repair, thought I'd ask if anyone here is interested in a 99 naked curvy in black.
Was running fine until about a month ago when I left it stood for a few...

Re: First gen front brake lines
Many thanks for the reply and the info. I was going to go down the braided lines route however turns out the existing lines are fine - was actually the fork leaking down the back onto the part of the...

First gen front brake lines
Looking for either the standard section of brake line running between the front right caliper and the divider thing under the headlight or a complete set of braided lines that would box off the issue...

First gen clocks - naked and curvy
Hi - I have a set of clocks on my 1999 naked curvy which I'm willing to let go for £50 plus postage to fund a basic GPS replacement. Reason they're so cheap is the rev counter doesn't work properly...

Re: 🔥 20% OFF from GRmoto Exhausts on Ebay
Finally got round to tackling this (sorry Rob!) - for the benefit of anyone thinking of attempting the same the stock exhaust came off OK with the angle grinder while on the bike but had to bend and...

Re: 🔥 20% OFF from GRmoto Exhausts on Ebay
Yep will certainly try - don't suppose anyone on here knows if a standard 125mm angle grinder disc is wide enough to go through a curvy exhaust while still on the bike? Placing it against the pipe it...

Re: 🔥 20% OFF from GRmoto Exhausts on Ebay
Thanks GRMoto for the reply and offer of help - have to say your customer service seems great so far.
Rob - yes the link pipe was included for mine but the original can on early SVs is welded on....

Re: 🔥 20% OFF from GRmoto Exhausts on Ebay
I bought one very similar to that (at full price!) for my 99 Sv650n but have yet to fit it.
GRMoto - presumably I need to cut the stock exhaust off 5cm behind the last weld as per normal practice?

Re: 2001 SV650 - Tips on getting road worthy
If it's any encouragement I recently took on an SV of a similar vintage that had been off the road for about 7 years and essentially all it's taken to get ut roadworthy again for the mot was the fork...

Re: Back on an SV, been a while
Good stuff - I've just returned to a (currently SORNd) SV after a few years off, last bike was a Fazer 1000 with exactly twice the power of an SV but half the fun.

Thanks so much for that link - that is exactly the problem I appear to have though the rev counter isn't working at all which may or may not be related.
I'll have a look at that and see how I...

Re: Curvy/naked clock compatibility
Many thanks for that - it sounds like more trouble than it's worth! The curvy was written off going into the side of a van (results in my avatar) so probably a high risk of a fault anyway.
On a...
