Re: TPS Adjustment Step-by-Step Pictorial Guide

I first saw this thread about two years ago, but I'm no mechanic and the thought of tinkering with stuff that might make my bike cut out and refuse to start, as happened with other posters, put me...

Re: Can you help me choose a camera?

Thanks again for all your help,...

Re: Fed up of PPI calls...

Like it.

The worst ones are the SMS PPI/accident claim spam, cos you can't reply to them as it validates the telephone number in their database.

I just add the number to a contact on my phone...

Re: Can you help me choose a camera?

Well, that's all very disappointing, as I was hoping to be able to justify a new camera ;)

I have instead added a 50mm f/1.8 lens, the Cokin ND Grad kit and the Cokin polariser to my shopping...

Re: Can you help me choose a camera?

At the moment, about 90% of my photography is snaps of the kids, but the workshop I had was on landscapes and I'd really like to brush up on that. Thinking long term, I'd like to be able to take...

Can you help me choose a camera?

I have a Nikon D60 which I bought three years ago. I should have bought the D90, which has live view for composition (lacking in the D60), but I was already at the squeaky end of my budget and the...

Re: What did we all think of the Olympics opening ceremony?

It was so sad. I understand that they wanted to pay tribute to him, and he probably said yes when he was having a good day, but he just didn't seem as though he was even in there. The worst thing was...

Re: What did we all think of the Olympics opening ceremony?

I thought Paul McCartney was infinitely better than at the Jubilee Concert, where he undoubtedly sucked. His voice seemed much stronger (after the initial glitch with the sound), and he hit the notes...

Re: What did we all think of the Olympics opening ceremony?

I found it easy to be cynical in the run up to the ceremony, with all the talk in the press of geese and fake clouds, it was easy to imagine that the whole thing would be cringingly embarrassing.

Billing Bikefest, Northampton

23 - 24 July 2011. Anyone going?

I'm hoping to go on the Saturday, but since I'm off to Wales with the family on the Sunday, I'll be lucky...

At the top of my list: anything by Robin Hobb, with the Farseer books standing head and shoulders above the rest.

Re: How do I contact debt collectors?

Once the debt has been bought by a debt collection agency, the original company has little or no control over it.

In my experience, debt collection agencies are lazy chancers anyway.

I recently...

Re: I Tunes from phone to pc

You can use iPod -> Folder (http://www.longfingers.com/ipodfolder/) (Mac/Windows versions available) for this.

There's also a set of fairly simple-looking instructions on Lifehacker...

Re: Mac vs. PC

I looked for irony or sarcasm... or something... I couldn't find anything. I assumed it was made by an American Mac-hater. Word is, they don't do irony or sarcasm well.

Re: ipod and itunes - newbie question

I would expect this to happen if your laptop was a Mac and he's running iTunes on Windows, as Windows can't read Mac-formatted iPods, so the iPod would need to be Windows formatted, which both Macs...

Re: Is it true about midlands superbikes?

I bought my SV from Midlands Superbikes. They were great until I rode away.

Their after-sales customer service and workshop servicing were abysmal. Their communication was awful.
