looking for a 2000-2002 curvy (faired)

Hi folks,

I'm back on the lookout for a decent SV650S, under 25k miles and mechanically sound.

Doing another cafe racer custom.

I'll be replacing the front end with a cafe racer fairing, so...

My Cafe Racer custom... have I undersold it?

Hi folks,

This is not a 'for sale' ad, as such, but more that I've had a couple of people hint that I'm underselling myself.. or rather my bike

I built a custom SV650s 'cafe racer' the other...

Re: ULEZ testing

Also to be fair to them, they’re the only ones endorsed by TfL - apparently other testing stations can apply to be ULEZ testers, but as yet none have

Re: ULEZ testing

So I called them yesterday - the guy I spoke to said they can’t be certain but some have passed, some have failed. He was very helpful though (seemed familiar with SVs) and basically said that via...

Re: ULEZ testing

Yep thanks but I’ve been through all of that (I’ve had my 1150gs exempt by submitting the relevant COC docs) and know the old curvies are subject to the charge... wouldn’t be looking to pay £175+...

Curvy - Rattle at 4000 revs

Hey folks - I've noticed a pronounced rattle coming from the front area of the bike at around 4k revs - normal?

It 'could' be the front pot, could be something in/around the fairing headstock, but...

You can now get your bike tested to see if your emissions levels will exempt your bike from the ULEZ

Re: sv1000's are now ULEZ exempt

It's a shame our old curvys don't have the NOx levels on the V5 AND Suzuki rep told me that the Certificate of Conformity won't have it either... so looks like we're buggered.

Re: Curvy SV650 and the ULEZ

Just asked my local MOT tester (who's also my mechanic) and he says he can't test for it.

Balls.

He's equally flummoxed by the stupidity of it all!

Re: Curvy SV650 and the ULEZ

Yep I’ve seen all that, thanks

The issue is that our old curvys don’t have the NOx levels on the V5C becuase they weren’t tested back then and it seems that Suzuki themselves don’t have any...

Curvy SV650 and the ULEZ

Anyone managed to find how to get their NOx figures for a curvy?

I called Suzuki UK and a very helpful lady said that I'd be wasting my money on a CoC as the NOx levels are not on it - was before...

Re: Bung or No Bung?

Crash bungs are good for a VERY slow speed fall or simply dropping the bike when pushing/moving it, so in that respect they're worth it.

Frankly, anything faster and you're gonna damage your bike...

Re: SV650s curvy Halo headlamp, DRL?

Not sure?

Without investigating further, I assume the 3-pin from the Halo goes to (one of) the 3-pin headlamp connections (I only have one now that I’ve switched to one headlamp) and the ‘DLR’...

SV650s curvy Halo headlamp, DRL?

Hi folks,

I want to fit a halo style headlamp and have the 'halo/ring' light on by default.

The halo headlamps on eBay all seem to have the usual 3-pin connector (high beam, low beam, negative)...
