Dear Abby,
Have run my 2000 SV on E10 all its 146,000 km. When should I expect problems to show up? It still has original fuel hoses, tank, engine so far untouched, etc.
Puzzled, of Melbourne.

Re: anybody tried this headlight? any good?

Yes, that one melts with bulbs of greater wattage than the one already in it. 25W is pretty ineffective.

Re: MOT fail = forks upgrades, but what to do?

What to do? Upgrade.

In all likelihood, you'll need heavier springs, see Racetech site for a chart; the standard springs are good for a 60-65 kg rider. If you simply increase the fork oil weight,...

Re: What fairings work on a curvy sv650?

Yes, RS 125 look good, early 00s GSXR 600 but a bit wide still good and probably the most popular full fairing conversion, see svrider FAQ, 748 very swish if you can source an affordable set, has...

Re: anyone had to have a metal plate screwed into bone?

Had to have my tibial plate out after 2 years because of intractable pain. Easy as...and beautifully pain-free after.

Re: Zx636 rear shock bolt

You need the Kwak bolt and nut. Then trim the head of the bolt so it doesn't rub. The 636 doesn't have a thread whereas the OEM does.
