Re: Windchill

I remember riding back from the NEC bike show one year, Birmingham to Swindon. Once I got back and had a shower I walked to the pub. I couldn't feel my toes until closing time.

Re: Kawasaki ZX-4R

It almost like there is a reason why the 90's 400's are commanding strong money. If it wasnt for my NC23 I'd regret not buying that RVF400...

Re: Metalwork

Its quite cool, there was one I saw the other week where a single cylinder Yamaha engine got turned into a Boxer Twin.

The only trouble with these videos is they might give you inspiration to see...

Re: Nitron's offer to me.

Thats a good deal, I would be biting their hand off.

I have a Nitron on my TZR and am very happy with it top quality. I've also seen their kit close up after its been well used and it stands up...

Re: Sv650 clutch slipping (clutch mantra doesnt fix it)

So if you've adjusted the clutch cable and actuator correctly and it still operates correctly, then I'd be having to look into the clutch in more detail.

Check the springs are within spec and the...

Re: Sv650 clutch slipping (clutch mantra doesnt fix it)

The clutch mantra?

If you can smell the clutch plates burning thats really not good. First off have you checked the oil level?

Re: A question for our American/EU colleagues

This is one of the most brilliant questions I've ever seen. Genuinely intrigued as to the answers.

But why the left?

Re: Engine won't turn - stuck.

I've not experienced this myself but it sounds a little odd that it started and then wont turn over the following day even with the spark plugs out and turning the rear wheel. If the engine is...

Re: Curvy spare fuse?

I wouldn't recommend adding anything electric onto a curvy, they can barely power their own electrics is stock form (from experience).

Re: Cookstown 100 - How to make cheap SV700

It been a while since I've had a set of cases apart and then I never did compare the layout of the oil galleries, never thought to but imagine there is some difference due to the oil cooler. But I'm...

Re: Cookstown 100 - How to make cheap SV700

Converting from carb to FI has been done, not sure what entirely is involved in there as I've not done it but I think you're on the right lines. My only thoughts to add there is the CDI and loom etc...

Re: Cookstown 100 - How to make cheap SV700

Re: Pic of seat lock please. Gen 1.

For reference there is no difference between the tail unit of a S or a N apart from the graphics used on the plastics so the lock mechanism is the same on both.

Re: Friends special

Interesting little bike. Not my usual cup of tea but I would wonder over to it if it rocked up outside the local bike shop for a better look.

Re: Curvy rear shock replacement. Cheap options.

So I would recommend Nitron. Very good quality. I have one on my TZR250 and am very happy with it.

Hagon, not so pleased with the quality that I have seen, but that was mainly on chrome specials...
