Re: which engine for 2000 curvy

The carb'd models ran from 1999 to 2002; in 2003, suzuki changed to fuel injection. It is ppossible to get an injected engine in there, but the injection system requires some more space - you can...

Re: Unhappy with servicing.

Its experiances like this that prompt me to tell people local to the london area to take their bikes to spannerman.

Re: carb icing??

PRO FST does help, as does using shell V-power or similar high-ocane fuels, they have more additives in (although the fst is probably now the cheaper option) - about 200 ml per full tank of petrol...

Re: Engine noise at top end

oil light relates to oil pressure, not oil level. I wouldnt be running the bike if the oil pressure light is coming on - you may be starving at least the valve train of oil, possibly the bottom end...

Re: Current Leakage - From Where!?

Yes, at 5000 rpm, 12.8 volts with the lights on is too low - it should be more like 13.5. Time to go trundling through the connections. Are the light bulbs differant from OEM? I'm not sure on the...

Re: Oil Change: Castrol, Putoline or Shell?
