Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Nothing wrong with plasma, we have one of the last Panasonic Viera and with 800Hz refresh rate and blacks that really are black, and a 180 degree viewing angle, and every input you could want...

Re: Desiccant dehumidifier

Re: Anyone tried Tectane PW 697

Well I sprayed some Tectane on a piece of sheet metal yesterday and left it overnight, have to say it has cured overnight in the cold to a semi-transparent pretty tough film that marks slightly when...

Re: Considering putting stock muffler back on :-s

The problem is not so much at night, when ineffective lights mainly affect the rider, but a normal filament bike headlight is hopeless in the daytime, the light is too yellow to show up. My spots...

Re: Considering putting stock muffler back on :-s

Bet nobody ever pulled out on him though, and cagers would easily see him in their mirrors, which is the aim of being visible all the time, not just when weaving..

Re: Considering putting stock muffler back on :-s

I just keep a nice line when approaching junctions and allow my LED headlight bulb and twin 10 watt LED spotlights to do the work. The only time I do the weaving thing in a straight line is to warm...

Re: If you had to have an illness..

Not an illness I fancy to be honest, fungal infections play havoc with the body and can kill just like bacterial or viral ones. May seem funny getting drunk for free - but imagine not being able to...

Re: The All New Megathread

Anyone see the documentary on the great freeze of 1962/3 a few months ago?

There was great footage of steam locomotives with ploughs on powering through snow that was almost as deep as the loco,...

Re: Anyone tried Tectane PW 697

I also use GT85 for a lot of things as it is way better than WD40, but it can hardly be described as 'leaving a clear tenacious film behind' so I would not use it under the car as a protection on...

Re: Anyone tried Tectane PW 697

I will still use ACF on electrical bits ( and have used it under car before, but not on bike mechanical bits as mine never sees wet weather ), but this is a different sort of spray - and as I said...

Re: Considering putting stock muffler back on :-s

That tee shirt should have said 'loud pipes annoy people' - even with stock pipe the SV will still be louder than most other vehicles, so will be easier to hear than a car approaching ( and how about...

Re: epoxy garage floors

We used to get epoxy floor for the fork truck driveways in the car part factory I used to work at - it had grippy particles in it, without the particles it would have been so smooth and deadly with...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

When garages are dealing with women they seem to think they can get away with anything. My wife in the past has taken her car to get a couple of new tyres only to be told the brake pads need...

Re: Wrong Choice. New '18 SV650.
