These ones don't actually have a rubber part. It is a screw into a cylindrical nut which tightens into (ie expands) a metal tube with slits in. The slits are supposed to allow that end to expand, but...

The whole bar end, not the screw. The screw just turns but doesn't tighten any more.

I've emailed Oxford. Good suggestion and worth a go. They are not the retailer though (they don't sell direct)....

I saw lots looking like those riff raff. They look ok, great for the price. but I think they'd interfere with the other kit (or too much work). I don't think the other suzuki ones...
