Re: Braided lines

I can’t speak for what you need for the SV as mine is stock minus a set Pirelli Corsa 2s and some CL XB5K pads up front.

HEL braided brake lines. They are priced right and came with everything I...

Re: Tyre width advice needed

Yes a 120/70/17 would have much better turn it, tends to “fall” much easier. I have done some reading on this forum and others and most swap the 120/60 for the 120/70 depending on their riding style....

Re: New bike help! What constitutes high mileage? Query about servicing too.

Yes that being said most people don’t run their bikes that high all the time but some have been run harder than others, again the key is has it been taken care of.

Good luck buying!

Re: New bike help! What constitutes high mileage? Query about servicing too.

Not always the case, more the issue is has it been ran 11k rpm all its life or was it a joy ride and spend its life at 5k rpm. Or if it’s been “Abused” as someone stated earlier.

Re: New bike help! What constitutes high mileage? Query about servicing too.

I can’t speak for GSXRs but I will answer what some people say of getting rid of a bike at 25k is total BS unless you don’t want to have to keep up after your motorcycle.

I have a 92 cbr600f2...

Re: 2008 SV650 Fuel Cap/Fuel Pump

UPDATE: I finally got the gas cap off, I had to get the drill out and use my trusty screwdriver.

Next I must get the surface rust out of the tank, get the fuel pump back together and wait for my...

Re: 2008 SV650 Fuel Cap/Fuel Pump

I tried that for gas cap, it hasn’t worked I get about an 1/8 of a turn. I’ve soaked it several times with wd-40 from the key to the inside from where the fuel pump is. Thinking about giving up on it...

Looking into buying a 2008 SV650, concerns

I believe it was, the lady had said in storage and from most of the items from the pictures it doesn’t appear to have a ton of rust on any parts.

I might take a gas can with me to try and get it...

Re: Looking into buying a 2008 SV650, concerns

From my understanding you are saying to buy then do all that? Would trying to crank it over before doing that really result in great damage?
