Some good information here which I have passed on. My advice to him was to point out the date of manufacture and either knock some money off the bike or the seller simply puts new tyres on the bike....

I got my SV with every intention of learning on a more powerful bike for a while then move her on. That was 3 years ago and still love every time I turn that key and set off!

My apologies. It was indeed LINIER springs I used and not progressive!

I filled both forks to 100mm from top of fork ( without springs inside )

What is pack down ?

It’s fine. I will use masking tape to protect fork. Should have mentioned I want to paint the bottom fork. Got the damper rods out and now soaking in degrease.

Thanks. I’m going to get a braze torch and some copper rods and give that a go. I’m used to doing solder work so hopefully I won’t F up my forks :rolleyes:

Thanks. I’m a slim guy but would still be 2 stone heavier then if they are set at around 10. It’s the forks pushing into the ground I notice on Hardish breaking. I’ve heard this will solve that but...
