The clonk may well be the headlamp unit hitting the front mudguard. Maybe try securing that and see if the clonk goes away.

Mine is as per the silver one. It's silver too :) I know the infill panels are a bit different, question is whether the seat is the same between the 650 and the thou and the K3 and every other model...

Mine's mounted similar to Bibio's and has never really worked properly. Not sure if it works better more vertical or maybe my feed tube is mounted too tortuously but mine it very hit and miss.
