Re: Garage Storage
I was going to say... it looks better than our kitchem!
Considering how much time I spend in the garage I think my family really should invest in this sort of thing for me :-)

Re: The All New Megathread
CBR600 nearly back together. Leaving the fairings off for now (so I can do a bit more on the shock etc), apart from the front which has the indicators and headlight on. Just the V5 transfer needed so...

Re: The All New Megathread
Still working on the CBR600. It's not just the drop fluids and refresh that I thought it would be. Two weeks later it's still in bits in the garage (but at least it's fairly difficult to steal :-) ) ...

Re: The All New Megathread
On a positive note, I've finally got the carbs off. Jets are soaking and nothing looks as bad as expected. Apart from the boots, which have gone from rubber to granite, so need to order new ones.

Re: The All New Megathread
Cheers guys.
It's the underwriters and people the claim is passed to that are the problem. Realising now that when you need to claim it's not the (reputable) people you signed up with that...

Re: The All New Megathread
Insurance are just doing what they do. Dragging it out. Trying everything they can to find a reason to not pay.
They also sneakily increased my excess when I renewed without me knowing. I...

Re: The All New Megathread
Hello all. Sorry not been on here for a while. Life has thrown various s**t storms in my direction the last year or so and I've just been running away into the courtryside lanes riding a dirt bike...

Re: A little ride out
Ah ok. Working Weds onwards. Looks like I'll need to be near home the beginning of the week too as family away and Winnie is staying with me. Can't leave her for too long home alone really.

Re: The running thread.
My running (or anything involving breathing) has gone out the window. Got very ill about a cople of months ago with full Covid symptoms. Tested negative all the way through. Nearly recovered enough...

Re: BP weekend 2022
Looks like I'm not going to be able to make it now. Too many things clashing with not enough time off work. I don't mind leaving my money in the pot though if anyone else wants to go?

Re: BP weekend 2022
There's a chance my August calendar might have gone a bit skeewiff. Working out dates that my Dad has booked somewhere for family and other things that may be double or triple booked. Will update as...

Re: Any Sourdough bakers out there?
I'd use 100% white until you're getting results you want and then gradually add small percentages of wholemeal to see what effect it has. I know wholemeal is a lot more thirsty and heavier too....

Re: Any Sourdough bakers out there?
I've never had much luck with wholemeal flour. I sometimes use 25 percent wholemeal and it comes out like a wholemeal but with more open texture. I followed Hugh Fernely Whiteringons's advice a few...

Re: Any Sourdough bakers out there?
I used to make a lot. Less so since we moved to a house with limited kitchen space. One thing I found over the few years was that the lazier I got the better the bread got. I now use a no knead...

Re: The Veg Plot.
We've been enjoying some very wirey lettuce leaves, basil that my daughter grew and the courgette plants have suddenly gone into overdrive. Courgettes are one of my favourite flowers (along with...

Re: Insurance, groan.
I've been with Bemoto for the last few years. I don't normally stick with the same company year after year but it's been easy with them. Not the cheapest but has worked out cheaper for me due to...

Re: The random rideout pictures thread
I love my RS. Suspension was hard on mine but seems to have got softer as time progresses. A very light and precise feeling bike that's just sporty enough and a great balance of power for real world...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
I enquired about a bike that Vines had a while back and they then didn't leave me alone for months afterwards. Very aggressive sales techniques and the guy I spoke to just wanted to tell me that they...
