Re: Another AL7 seat thread

Can't help thinking that it looks to fit ... Kim Kardashian. Now if that's the case, two relief dents in the tank will also be required?!

Re: Bleedin' Brakes

See that's good to know and it is now out in the public domain. You have done us Suzuki owners a favour. Thanks Bibio, again! :smt055

Re: Oh no, not again (speeding)

Ah yes! The 40 milers! Those folk, often of a generation, that do 40mph wherever and whenever, regardless of the chaos they cause! Built up area 40mph, open road 40mph, motorway same... Should not be...

Re: Happens every year

Trev, sure sign you're getting older when you quote you're NEXT birthday. Next step is quoting the next decade... "I'm nearly seventy years old you know?!"
How do I know? Doing it myself! ;)

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

Semi-stripped! Took out pads and cleaned pistons, seals and pins and springs in February and have washed them thoroughly with muc off every fortnight. Wheels spin freely...

Re: Oh no, not again (speeding)

The only difference is in the physics of velocity and energy involved:

Kinetic energy = 0.5 x mass x velocity(squared)

So a vehicle travelling at 20mph has less than half the energy of...

Re: Warm weather recommendations

I have a Revit Airwave jacket and it's been an absolute boon over the years when it gets warm. Full armour at shoulder, elbow and bought the back protector that goes with it. Mesh and strong nylon...

Re: Selling a 125 bike drama!

That's a PITA.
I agree though. 2nd best ride of the day going into work on the bike, best ride of the day... home.
No matter the weather, riding my bike is always the best part of the day.
Keep up...

Re: New owner, tail tidy help sought :)

TBF to Bibio and SVSte they are correct and speak the truth!
I fell for the tail tidy idea and it does chuck road crud all over the back of your bike, making cleaning even more of a chore. Any speed...

Re: London not to include motorcycle in it's traffic congestion strategy

Everyone would be better off if we simply paid attention to what we were doing and tried to consider others.
I have noticed a decreasing empathy toward ALL other road users. A lot of people think...

Re: End can performance question

Totally agree.
Fuel exhaust with the baffle in, vast improvement in sound over stock, baffle out, noisier but not Harley and kind of addictive.

Also, no change in performance or mpg, so all good!

Re: London not to include motorcycle in it's traffic congestion strategy

Especially in towns, where some can and some can't be used. Unless there are bus lane cameras, a copper admitted to me that they would turn a blind eye to ptw's using a bus lane. It is stupid that we...
