Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Sat outside the courtyard cafe of the V&A today and the yobbish looking hulk sat behind me with a frightened waif of a wife/girlfriend was on his phone effing and blinding about how he was going to...

Re: Guns don't kill people...

I found the pretty small gap yesterday where the little baskets were getting in to the roof space and blocked it off with wads of twisted barbed wire. If I don't catch any more in the next day or so...

Re: Guns don't kill people...

I'll take your word for that as I really don't feel like eating something I have caught in the loft...

Re: The All new Reeder Megathread

Your lens could do with a clean there Mav - odd (fingerprint maybe?) smudge causing some blurring. I won't comment on a person's body shape as it would be a case of people in glass houses...

Re: Guns don't kill people...

Trapbarn supplied my brace of traps as it happens. Very efficient things they are too. We defo have squiggles in the loft but as of this afternoon there is one less up there.

At least getting...

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?

Baby Great Spotted Woodpeckers on my bird feeders. Or rather one of the adults is, hoiking out suet pellets and passing them to the fluffy bundle clinging precariously to the old fence post I use to...

Re: The All new Reeder Megathread

Same with TomTom - you end up on pointless detours for the sake of it which get irritating and often end up on gravel-strewn tracks which Hugh is not suited to at all. Much prefer to use Tyre...

Re: The all new slap bang up to date photo of the day 2019!

I've never tried growing Passiflora - must give it a go one year. Nigella, as in the second pic, however I have and it self-seeds everywhere! Nice wafty foliage mind.

Re: Guns don't kill people...

Have used a mix of crunchy peanut butter and supermarket own brand hazelnut choccie spread (I hate both) and made a box structure to make sure they come at the trap the right way. It's on a hefty...

Re: Guns don't kill people...

My rat/sqiggle traps arrived today. My god are they vicious! Managed to set one without breaking a finger or three and then dropped a wine bottle cork on the treddle. Wow - it jumps nearly two...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Washed the windows at Trev Towers and of course within 24 hours I have the dirty outline of two wood pigeons on them. Stupid creatures. Can't they see something the size of a house and avoid it?!

Re: Guns don't kill people...

I just know Lady Poppy will say no to the air rifle option and The Monkey would have a fit. Part of me wants to get the humane traps but legally you're not allowed to let them go as they're vermin...

Re: Guns don't kill people...

I'm not going to wade in on the gun side of things but as for the invasive grey squiggles... Got two of these on their way to me as I have a feeling I have them in my loft.

Re: The all new slap bang up to date photo of the day 2019!

My current client is a logistics company so pallet trucks, reach trucks counterbalance trucks, fork extensions so they can safely lift euro-sized pallets instead of UK ones... so many of them.

Re: How often to upload videos?

Saw this in my daily news feed as well. Got a great review, which is even nicer considering RideApart is a US-based source. Kudos Tamsen.

Re: The All new Reeder Megathread

If there are any interesting costumes then we'd love to see them. By interesting you know full well I mean curvy/buxom and scantily clad... Although that might be the rum making me a bit more leery...

Re: The All new Reeder Megathread

Hello. How are we all tonight? As per the gripe thread I had to tell a cr4p contractor to sling his hook today as his boss was not in the office. Thanks a bunch Jonathan - you owe me a big drink. ...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

You're going to have to expand on that. Some of us had to fire a (rubbish) contractor today, even though I'm also a contractor, so I'm several drinks in already...

Nice. My parsnips are now sown as well as the first half row of beetroot. Runners and pumpkins are just popping up in their pots in the greenhouse and the first batch of lettuce is well up via the...

Re: Project: 500GP

This thread is still fascinating for a numpty like me who has no idea on milling or manufacturing parts in this way beyond a junior hacksaw... Keep it coming SH!

Re: another gloomy milestone reached

Aviation and cruise liner fuel should be taxed - it is madness that so many people think nothing about the comparatively low cost of travelling the world. It is not a right and you should pay for...
