I've used a HRM in training before & they are useful depends what you want from your ride.

I've also used one in conjunction with a PM before & it does add a dimension to the data you can evaluate...

I had gap insurance on my last gsxr, when it got nicked it covered the shortfall between the remainder of the borrowed amount and the insurance valuation. Was worth it I think.
