Re: Quote of the day (sorry, Brexit related)

Cynical view:

Re: Quote of the day (sorry, Brexit related)

Well one paper says so. Another says it was nothing but a courtesy text message.

And what difference does it make really?

Re: Quote of the day (sorry, Brexit related)

I'm not disagreeing with you about the requirement for defence, but are we really a better example?

Re: Quote of the day (sorry, Brexit related)

Sorry that sounds a lot like you just said:

We're big so we can afford to ignore common sense.

Since when did common sense come into it? I thought it was all about independence and national pride and taking back control...

Re: Quote of the day (sorry, Brexit related)

Re: Cheap Action Camera-Helmet Front mounting<solved>

Good work.

The glue might invalidate the helmet warranty, if that's an issue - I know the instructions sometimes specify that nothing should be glued to the helmet.

I'm wondering if it would be...

Re: Quote of the day (sorry, Brexit related)

Really? Who's splitting hairs here? :)

Scots law dictates that any reasonable offer for settlement of a debt be accepted. Therefore you don't need legal tender. Or alternatively, legal tender is...

Re: Quote of the day (sorry, Brexit related)

Re: Quote of the day (sorry, Brexit related)

Don't think you've quite understood legal tender.

It's something that must be accepted to pay a debt. So if you owe money, and you pay it in legal tender, it must be accepted. If it's not legal...

Re: Bugatti Veyron

Re: Bugatti Veyron

I'd expect a $42000 fuel tank to last a few years, not need replacing with every major service.
