Re: Cooling fan

Mine comes on if I'm in town or slow traffic in very hot weather. Sometimes I've run the bike to get it hot for various reasons when it's been in the garage, I've run it till the fan kicks in.

Re: The running thread.

Wow! That's really moving! Well done on the pb.

Not much prospect of me getting out for a run for a few days. Got so much going on at the moment, don't know where to start!

Stone the crows, your poor wife! Really hope they get it sorted completely asap. Not a pleasant experience for either of you.

Keep us posted if you will.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

Oil and filter arrived today so changed them on the SV in preparation for our trip to Scotland on Sunday. Need the new tyres to arrive now so that I can change them too. The rear is squared off now...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Holy crap Martin! Scary stuff. And yes, we'd be well and truly stuffed without our brill NHS and the amazing folk who work for it.
Glad they got it sorted speedily.

Tyre width advice needed

How much difference will it make fitting a 120/70/17 to the front of my curvy as opposed to a 120/60/17? Slower to turn in I'm guessing.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Excellent news! Bit of home recovery time for her I'd say. Glad it's gone smoothly.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?

Only a couple of Bunkhouse places left now, although the small campsite next to it looks really nice.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Any news yet Martin?

LPH, right choice I think. Well done on making a brave decision. Hope the tests come back the way you (and indeed, all of us) would like them to.

Not been out for a week and I'm struggling to find the time to get out too. Desperately need to run but struggling to fit stuff in. Really stressful at the moment. :-(

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?

Brilliant!

I remember taking my two out for their first rides on the SV 2 or 3 years ago. They're regular pillion riders now at just coming up to 16. They're looking to get their tests done and...

Re: 2019 - ride out with an overnight?

This does of course all mean that I will have to go out and find some good routes for a rideout! Pen Llŷn is a must; I have a few other locations in mind too.

Re: 2019 - ride out with an overnight?

Spoke today with the chap who deals with the Bunkorama bunkhouse. Just wanted to check that:
1. There is a road right up to the place and it's not a walk in job. There is tarmac right to it.
2. The...

Re: 2019 - ride out with an overnight?

I'm going to try and phone the Bunkorama people today, and over the next couple of weeks I'll go and look at the place (good excuse for a ride if anyone wants to come along).
Quick summary of...

Re: 2019 - ride out with an overnight?

Bibs, are you on for this as well then? If so, we're up to nine. The bunkhouse sleeps a max of 12. If we get many more joining I may have to look for a larger bunkhouse!
