Re: The Veg Plot.
Huh, my photo skills are lacking on this forum. They show up for me but that could be a Google Photos issue. https://photos.app.goo.gl/gN8FQCkJ32sA64C79 ... |

Re: The Veg Plot.
Actually, I had good luck with the roses this past Spring too. They've gotten less enthusiastic what with the 110-degree heat this Summer, but the plants are still healthy. ... |

Re: The Veg Plot.
I'll play, just because my soil is a bit different from what most are dealing with. I have only had luck here with my date palm, queen palms and various succulents, although our young pomegranate... |

Re: Electrical gurus - help required.
All my Suzukis have required a clutch pull to start. My last BMW did not. Some of my Hondas have. It can also be wired around easily, timwilky perhaps the PO of your bike did this. |

Re: The Veg Plot.
When I had grass, it was only a 1/10 of an acre. Not much but it's what the land developers thought was appropriate for southside city-dwellers just outside of Chicago back in the early 1900s. I had... |

Re: Boots with laces.
I only leave the bike in gear when I'm on an incline, just to keep it from rolling off the side stand. Other than that I park in neutral. If there is something wrong with this, I would be... |

Re: It was hot here this week...
Yup, I live on the inland side of those mountains in Murrieta, I work in Hemet though and my wife and I stay up in Idyllwild often. I have a good view of it from my office window here on the desert... |

Re: It was hot here this week...
It's been in the 100-teens this week. Cold snap yesterday though, only 95 when I left the office. You get acclimated, but things get exponentially more dangerous as the temps increase. Having worked... |

Re: Boots with laces.
That's the truth right there. Tone for days. Laces and bikes don't mix. Never fell over as a result of them, but I've had close calls. Enough to keep me from ever wearing boots with laces again. |

Re: GSXR front end conversion guides?
svrider.com covers gsxr front end swaps ad nauseum, I would look there. It seems like every new rider who finds an old SV here in the States thinks they can't ride it until they put gsxr parts on the... |

Re: What can be adjusted for a better fit?
The SV has always struck me as a really good bike for taller people. I'm 6'2" and have always had larger/longer bikes (CBR1000F, BMW k1200 and others). I think it's odd that so many shorter riders... |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Che, I did this several years ago when I upgraded the rear shock on my old cbr F2. A little aluminum bar stock and hose clamps are perfect, and a definite savings over dropping £100. |

Re: Tyre levers
I use the Motion Pro levers but I have two sizes; two are about 11.5 inches long and one is only about 8.5 inches. They definitely benefit from being longer. If yours are the stubbier kind I can... |

Re: Endings
I'm new here and don't mean to butt in but your post hit me. I've been reading a lot about endings and what they mean in life. Without getting philosophical on a motorcycle forum, what I have been... |

Re: YSS Shocks
^^ what Biblio said is so true. This is also why I ride an sv650 and I'm still a lesser rider than my bike. I would also say that an average rider is asking for trouble running a Bonneville fast... |

Re: YSS Shocks
I've been running a YSS on my '07 SV650s this season. It's been fine and I pretty much haven't messed with it since my suspension guy got it dialed in for me. It certainly doesn't have the... |

Re: 2020 Panigale vs K5 GSXR
I love the way the old k5 stacks up to new machines, there's a lot that can be said for simple. I'm a SoCal resident myself and just got back a few minutes ago from a rip up Palomar. Great road... |
