Re: The state of other peoples' bikes

As a cyclist, I see it all of the time on bicycles too. Supposedly intelligent adults riding around with brakes disconnected, flat tyres and chains that can barely run.

Some folks just have no...

Re: K3 front end

I have a K3, with both a bar conversion and a front end swap. The whole job cost more than my bike is probably worth, but she looks amazing and rides beautifully. However, I made the swaps because I...

Re: 25 years

I don't do mechanics or making in ball gowns anymore. Have you seen what happens when super glue hits satin? It is not pretty!

My bike is booked in for the MOT next week. It feels strange...

Re: 25 years

This is something I am making out of paper, purely scratch built. I did modify a little 1/18 model, but this is bigger and harder. I have made the frame and forks thus far and it has been fun.

Re: 25 years

My daughter teases me that my bike is a little moped when compared to her GTR1400... However, she didn't think that it was a moped when she was fifteen and riding it around a closed field at a rally!...

Re: New seat

That looks nice, you would be surprised by the difference a tiny change in the seat pad can make. Good luck and happy riding.

Re: JHS Racing talking about tuning the SV

After watching this, I happened to mention a big bore kit for Sylvie to the wife, but she just shook her head and gave me that look, the one that says "Just go and buy a Kawasaki Z1000..."
It's not...

Exclamation I have been riding my SV again

:!: Warning: This is going to be a long post, which given that I have barely ridden my bike in the last five years, is somewhat surprising.

Back in 2007 when I bought the SV, I was told by the...

Talking Re: Sv650 goat?

I feel called out... As if I would have a hugely long build thread just about all of the mods I did to my glorious K3!

The chap in the video was a little vague with much of the detail,...

Re: Model making shenanigans

Actually, you are not wrong. Like every artist, there are some things that I learned along the way, that I would do differently now. When I made the prototype of this model, I used an R1 for...

Re: Sorry to do this, but I need some advice about a dirty VTR

It has been a long time, my failing body and then catching that horrible lurgy that was going around a couple of years ago, made riding all but impossible at times. It was embarrassing taking the...

Awww, thank you. The wife will be pleased, she worked really hard on the videos because that build took me a few days. :D

Model making shenanigans

Well folks it comes to us all in the end, when the arthritis and worn out body parts makes riding a treat rather than a daily experience. However, the wife has had a model kit of her favourite bike...

Sorry to do this, but I need some advice about a dirty VTR

Hi folks, a mate of mine has a VTR Firestorm that has knackered forks. He has seen the fork swap on my SV and now craves a set of USDs for his bike. Obviously (yeah right!) he asked me for advice,...

Re: The end is nigh?

Well here is your 800cc parallel twin V-Strom... Er, can they still call it the V-strom, when it doesn't have a V anymore?

Re: Chain

I cheat and use a Chain Oiler. No rust, occasional maintenance and the chain is always good to go. I use Tutoro, but other brands are available. :D

Yes, I (https://www.churchofeuthanasia.org/)am clearly depressed, but the medication only works for clinical depression, not for living in a sick society that worships money above all else! :rave:
